Wherever Your Documents are Stored ...
IntraSeek offers a range of different resource types which build the data source for your search indices. Wherever your documents are stored IntraSeek will be able to access and index them.
Network File System
This resource type is the right one if you'd like to integrate documents from a local or shared network path or a file server. On Windows shares IntraSeek can automatically detect any updated or added documents.
Microsoft Exchange Server
IntraSeek allows you to index and find all the emails, appointments, contacts, tasks and notes stored on an Exchange server. By defining appropriate right settings you can offer your users a personalized search experience restricted to their personal mailbox.
IMAP Mail Server
The IMAP protocol is another way to integrate mails and documents stored on a mail server offering users a personalized search experience.
WebDAV Document Store
WebDAV is a standardized protocol that allows the transport of files through a common HTTP connection. Most common document management systems provide a WebDAV interface, including Microsoft Share Point Portal Server but also FrontPage Server Extensions.
FTP Server
If your documents are stored on a remote location FTP might be an option to index and find them anyway.
