IntraSeek is a very powerful search engine. To benefit from all it features you may use the advanced search which is available from any search page. You can easily specify search terms and phrases or even exclude words from the search. You may specify the document type you search for and also search within type-specific fields like the appointment location. And beside that you can also easily select the date range within you'd like to search.

To exactly define what results to get you can define which catalogs you like to search in. You can also permanently predefine these catalogs within your personal settings section. Last but not least you are able to define the field by which the search results are sorted by.
